Overview

The HELIX Ci3 K165.2FM-S3 MK2 is a 6.5" / 165 mm 2-way performance component speaker set from the HELIX COMPOSE i3 range by Audiotec Fischer (Germany). The kit combines Ci3 W165FM-S3 midbass drivers with Cenosphere-coated paper cones, Ci3 T20FM-AL MK2 20 mm aluminium-dome tweeters and Ci3 FX-UNI.2 external crossovers with 6-stage tweeter level adjustment. It is a universal speaker kit that can be installed in the original mounting locations of many vehicles using optional car-specific FlexMount165 / FlexMount20 adaptors and WireKits (sold separately).

The i3 component systems give you everything you would expect from a great 2-way system: a first-class sound experience that, thanks to high-quality materials and particularly smart engineering, conveniently finds its way into the automobile. All components harmonise perfectly and form an ideal team with HELIX and MATCH amplifiers, ensuring maximum performance and power output at all times. New mechanical technologies have also been implemented with a clear focus on safety during connection and operation, creating ideal conditions for vehicle integration with maximum compatibility.

High efficiency

HELIX COMPOSE stands for smart engineering and accordingly uses highly efficient 3 Ohm technology, which harmonises perfectly with all HELIX and MATCH amplifiers while delivering a clearly perceptible gain in efficiency and maximum sound pressure. Certain models are also available as optional 2 Ohm variants, ensuring the absolute maximum performance and power from the respective speaker in combination with a suitable amplifier.

Cenosphere paper cone

With the innovative "Cenosphere" coating, hollow spheres are incorporated into a polyamide layer that is applied to the cone. This process increases the stiffness and also optimises its internal damping. The result is an exceptionally stable yet lightweight cone that offers outstanding precision in sound reproduction.

High-tech polymer basket

All HELIX COMPOSE i7 and i3 speaker baskets are made of a high-tech polymer composite that is additionally reinforced with glass spheres. The result: maximum stability with minimal self-resonance, elimination of flux modulation of the magnet system and maximum resistance to thermal influences. Last but not least, this allows much more compact basket dimensions and therefore simpler installation in cramped mounting locations.

Natural brilliance and precise detail resolution

The 0.75" / 20 mm tweeter features an elegant black aluminium dome that strikes the perfect balance between low weight and high rigidity. Combined with the refined, highly efficient neodymium magnet system, it delivers an even more precise, clear and detailed high-frequency response. The result is natural brilliance with outstanding resolution and impressive dynamics for an exceptional listening experience.

Perfectly separated

The Ci3 FX-UNI.2 crossover is designed for ideal use with HELIX COMPOSE i3 components and the professional, COMPOSE-typical integration into the vehicle. It offers 6-stage tweeter level adjustment with a 12 dB slope for optimal adaptation to the mounting position, plus integrated tweeter protection. No effort was spared in the complex tuning of the crossover for the best possible distribution of the frequency band and a harmonious sound image. Thanks to its compact dimensions, the Ci3 FX-UNI.2 is perfectly suited to installation in tight spaces and is compatible with COMPOSE Connect and WireKit technologies for a safe, fool-proof connection to automotive standards.

COMPOSE Connect

Say goodbye to tinkering and soldering. COMPOSE Connect is a sophisticated plug-in connection system that considerably simplifies car audio installation with HELIX COMPOSE components. Proprietary plastic housings, into which standard flat plugs and receptacles snap, create an absolutely safe connection to automotive standards that prevents any polarity reversal.

FlexMount20 & FlexMount165 – Universal meets car-specific

FlexMount is a mounting system based on specially developed adaptor rings that allows COMPOSE FlexMount speakers to be installed in an almost unlimited number of vehicles. The universal loudspeaker effortlessly becomes a vehicle-specific loudspeaker that can be installed in the vehicle's original mounting position in an acoustically optimised way using the matching FlexMount adaptor ring (sold separately).

WireKits – Plug & Play at its best

HELIX WireKits connect the COMPOSE speaker kit to the original vehicle wiring harness in the most convenient way. Manufactured to the high standards of the automotive industry, these locking adaptor cables meet all the requirements of the harsh environmental conditions installers face in vehicles every day (sold separately).
