Overview

This Alpine Status 10" subwoofer kit combines the Alpine Status HDZ-W10 10-inch subwoofer with the Alpine Status HDA-M80 mono amplifier, plus an ETON PCC20 20mm² (AWG 4) power cable kit to connect the amplifier.

The HDZ-W10 is rated at 800W RMS and 2,400W peak, with a pulp-mica cone, carbon-fibre dust cap, Alpine's HAMR (High Amplitude Multi-Roll) surround, dual progressive spiders, triple-stacked strontium ferrite magnets and a cast-aluminium frame. Its dual 4-ohm voice coils can be wired in series (8 ohms) or parallel (2 ohms).

The HDA-M80 is the Alpine Status mono amplifier, rated at 500W x 1 at 4 ohms and 800W x 1 at 2 ohms, with a damping factor of more than 1,500, a copper-plated chassis, quick-connect power and speaker connectors and Alpine's improved heat sink and protection design that eliminates thermal shut-down. With the subwoofer's dual 4-ohm coils wired in parallel (2 ohms), the HDA-M80 is rated at 800W RMS, matching the HDZ-W10's 800W RMS power handling.

The ETON PCC20 kit includes 5.5 m of red 20mm² (AWG 4) 100% OFC power cable, 1.0 m of black ground cable, a waterproof AFS fuse holder with 100 A, 80 A and 60 A Mini ANL fuses, 5.5 m remote turn-on cable and the terminals needed for the install.

Please Note

• The HDZ-W10 is a subwoofer driver only - an enclosure is not included. Alpine recommends a sealed enclosure of 14.2-42.5L net internal volume or a ported enclosure of 28.3-49.6L (tuning 32-37Hz).
• Alpine specifies an external fuse at the battery for the HDA-M80 of the same or slightly larger capacity than 90 A.
