This package puts a Rockford Fosgate Punch P3S 10" shallow subwoofer into a custom enclosure that sits behind the rear seat of the 2015-onwards Hilux Dual Cab, powered by a compact Pioneer GM-D8701 mono amplifier. The result is tight, punchy bass you can feel, hidden away in a factory-style installation.

The Aerpro MX08 8AWG power kit is included to wire in the amplifier, and the GM-D8701's speaker-level inputs mean it can run from the factory head unit as well as an aftermarket one.

Pioneer GM-D8701 Mono Class-D Amplifier with Bass Boost Remote

Big power, small size. Pioneer's efficient Class-D design is 50% smaller than its older GM-Series Class-AB amplifiers, so it is easy to find a spot for it in the Hilux, and its speaker-level inputs let it connect to the factory head unit without an adaptor.

Rockford Fosgate built the P3S to deliver Punch bass where a traditional subwoofer will not fit. It needs only 89mm of mounting depth, and its dual 4 ohm voice coils give wiring flexibility.

Single Shallow 10" MDF Sub Enclosure To Suit Toyota Hilux Dual Cab 2015 Onwards

A custom enclosure made for the Hilux Dual Cab with the middle retractable seat belt. It fits behind the rear seat for a discreet, factory-style installation, adding bass without giving up cabin space or factory function.

Aerpro MX08 MAXCOR 8AWG Amplifier Power Kit

Aerpro's MAXCOR kit uses Soft Touch Super Flex (STSF) cable that bends easily around tight corners for a neat installation, and is rated to power an amplifier of up to 600W.

• 6m blue 8AWG power cable with black weave tubing, and 0.8m 8AWG earth cable
• 5m 20AWG trigger (remote turn-on) cable
• 60A ANL fuse and fuse holder
• 8AWG grommet, cable ties and all required professional fitting terminals
• Cables meet or exceed AWG (American Wire Gauge) standards

Why They Work Together

The parts are matched for the space. The enclosure takes one shallow 10" subwoofer up to 120mm deep with a 230mm cut-out; the P3SD4-10 needs only 89mm of mounting depth and a 230mm cut-out, so it suits the box.

The GM-D8701 is 1-ohm stable, so it can run the P3SD4-10's dual 4 ohm voice coils wired in parallel (2 ohms), where the amplifier makes up to 500W RMS, or in series (8 ohms). With the gain set to suit the sub's 300W RMS rating there is plenty of clean headroom. The variable low-pass filter blends the sub with your door speakers, and the wired bass boost remote lets you turn the bass up or down from the driver's seat.

The MX08 kit is rated for amplifiers up to 600W and includes the 8AWG power and earth cables, 60A ANL fuse and holder, and trigger wire.

Important Information

• Fitment: Toyota Hilux Dual Cab, 2015 onwards, models with the middle retractable seat belt. Please check your Hilux has the middle retractable seat belt before ordering. The factory carpet is unclipped to fit the enclosure.
• RCA leads and speaker wire are not included in the MX08 kit. The amplifier can be connected with its speaker-level inputs, or RCA leads can be added if needed.
• Wire the P3SD4-10's dual 4 ohm voice coils in parallel (2 ohms) or series (8 ohms), and set the amplifier gain to suit the subwoofer's 300W RMS rating.
