REDARC SBI224D 24V 200A Smart Start Dual Sense Isolator

Enables the User to Charge a 24 Volt Start Battery from a Solar Panel or Battery charger on the Auxiliary Battery

It is designed to protect the start battery from excessive discharge in a dual battery system. The SBI224D provides 24 volt DC incorporating 200A of continuous ratings. The 200A battery isolator is designed for heavy-duty operations.

Dual Sensing
The dual sensing model allows charging both ways where the auxiliary battery may also be charged by an external source such as Solar panels or an external AC battery charger. The SBI224D will allow the start battery to be topped up and charged by the auxiliary battery when the auxiliary battery reaches 26.4 volts when it’s being charged by the external source.

Power Saving Technology
The Smart Start SBI224D is a microprocessor controlled battery isolator and incorporates electronic components that prevent the solenoid from generating high voltage transients. It is better than a diode battery isolator due to the voltage drop associated with diode type isolation. It features sophisticated fault detection and LED indication of operation to warn the user of faults including over-voltage, voltage drop and excessive current draw conditions.

Used primarily in commercial vehicles, the Smart Start SBI is a safe way to charge auxiliary batteries.
