Mongoose MTRAK2 GPS Tracker for Fleet Management 2 year online access included
The VT606 is a dedicated vehicle GPS tracker that is only used on our M-TRAK webserver.
M-TRAK records the vehicle movements on our secure webserver to which you have 24/7 access.
M-Trak can show the vehicles last reported 'live' location as well as maintaining a full record/history of all travel history. We maintain all your travel data for a minimum of 2 years.
The VT606 can be programmed to report locations by either a time interval or by distance travelled.
'Time' is preferrable for local travel and 'distance' is perfect for long haul routes.
The tracker only reports its location when the engine is running, usually every 30 seconds, but it can be programmed for whatever frequency you require.
5,000 Location Memory: In the event of of no GSM coverage, or our server is offline, or a power failure affecting data storage, the VT606 recognises this and can store up to 5,000 GPS locations with its on-board memory. Once M-Tral is re-aquired, the VT606 will automatically and seemlessly upload its stored data to your M-Trak account.
LBS 'Land Based System': In the event that the tracker cannot receive GPS satellite signals, the VT606 is equipped with the LBS. LBS, if available from your mobile provider, identifies which cell site the vehicle is within. LBS will not provide accurate locations - it just shows which area, or cell site, the vehicle is in. This feature is important for search & rescue as the search area is limited to that particular cell site - not the whole state or country. A vehicle can more easily found if the GPS signal is terminated or interupted.
Engine immobilisation By logging onto your M-Trak account with your secure username and password, you can prevent the vehicle from being driven with the click of your mouse.
You can log onto M-TRAK from any internet capable device - there is no software to download - just connect to our secure webserver.
Instant mobile phone text location: If you just need to know where a vehicle is right now, you can use any mobile phone to send a location request text message to the tracker. Two types of reply are available - nearest street address, or (for smart phones) a map showing location.
