Overview

The HELIX Ci3 C165.2FM-S3 MK2 is a 6.5" / 165 mm 2-way performance coaxial speaker pair from the HELIX COMPOSE i3 range by Audiotec Fischer (Germany). It features a 20 mm black aluminium-dome tweeter, a Cenosphere-coated paper midbass cone, highly efficient 3 Ohm technology and FlexMount165 compatibility. It is a universal speaker that can be installed in the original mounting location of many vehicles using optional car-specific FlexMount165 adaptor rings and WireKits (sold separately).

High efficiency

HELIX COMPOSE stands for smart engineering and accordingly uses highly efficient 3 Ohm technology, which harmonises perfectly with all HELIX and MATCH amplifiers while delivering a clearly perceptible gain in efficiency and maximum sound pressure.

Cenosphere paper cone

With the innovative "Cenosphere" coating, hollow spheres are incorporated into a polyamide layer that is applied to the cone. This process increases the stiffness and also optimises its internal damping. The result is an exceptionally stable yet lightweight cone that offers outstanding precision in sound reproduction.

High-tech polymer basket

All HELIX COMPOSE i7 and i3 speaker baskets are made of a high-tech polymer composite that is additionally reinforced with glass spheres. The result: maximum stability with minimal self-resonance, elimination of flux modulation of the magnet system and maximum resistance to thermal influences. Last but not least, this allows much more compact basket dimensions and therefore simpler installation in cramped mounting locations.

Natural brilliance and precise detail resolution

The 0.75" / 20 mm tweeter features an elegant black aluminium dome that strikes the perfect balance between low weight and high rigidity. Combined with the refined, highly efficient neodymium magnet system, it delivers an even more precise, clear and detailed high-frequency response. The result is natural brilliance with outstanding resolution and impressive dynamics for an exceptional listening experience.

FlexMount165 – Universal meets car-specific

FlexMount is a mounting system based on specially developed adaptor rings that allows COMPOSE FlexMount speakers to be installed in an almost unlimited number of vehicles. The universal loudspeaker effortlessly becomes a vehicle-specific loudspeaker that can be installed in the vehicle's original mounting position in an acoustically optimised way using the matching FlexMount adaptor ring (sold separately).

ProConnect – The new industry standard

The innovative ProConnect terminal is a professional, automotive-grade connector. It allows the safe use of conventional speaker cable and is also ideally designed for connection via flat plugs with HELIX WireKits, offering maximum flexibility when planning a sound system upgrade. The connection is interlocking, offers reverse-polarity protection and is electrically and mechanically highly robust.

WireKits – Plug & Play at its best

HELIX WireKits connect the COMPOSE coaxial speaker system to the original vehicle wiring harness in the most convenient way. Manufactured to the high standards of the automotive industry, these locking adaptor cables meet all the requirements of the harsh environmental conditions installers face in vehicles every day (sold separately).
