Car Builders 2 Door Restore Kits

Car Builders Door Restore Kit comes complete with OE plastic and adhesive sealant tape to waterproof door cavities before the interior trim is installed.

Without any waterproof barrier, your timber door trims are exposed to water and moisture that passes through the inner door cavity. The nature of water will lead to distorting timber door cards and potentially mold in your door trims.

Car Builders have put together a premium heavy-weight plastic film that comes oversized and ready to stick down to any door shape.

Application:

1. Apply the black waterproof seal tape to the perimeter of the door, ensuring you leave door trim mounts exposed.
   Note: When you get to a tight corner remove a portion of the tape backing to allow the tape to bend and make a neat radius.
2. Remove the film from the waterproof tape
3. Stretch out the protective film and touch it down on the waterproof seal tape. Apply pressure where the film contacts to create a strong bond.
4. With a utility knife cut around the outside perimeter of the sealed path to remove the excess film and create that original factory finish.
