Aerpro SWVW3V Steering Wheel Control Interface To Suit Volkswagen Various Models (Retains Factory High-Line & Low-Line Camera)

Overview

The Aerpro SWVW3V is a steering wheel control (SWC) and reverse camera retention interface for fitting an aftermarket head unit to various Volkswagen and Skoda vehicles with an RNS510, RNS315 or RCD510 factory head unit and quadlock connector. It keeps your factory steering wheel controls working with a compatible SWC-ready head unit, and keeps the factory high-line or low-line reverse camera too.

The SWVW3V converts the factory RGB camera signal to a standard CVBS video output on an RCA connector, so the factory reverse camera can be shown on your new head unit. This includes cameras hidden behind the motorised rear VW badge, with the badge still operated by the vehicle as standard, and factory active guidelines are retained on vehicles that have them. The harness uses a vehicle-specific plug that connects straight into the existing vehicle wiring, so the factory loom does not need to be cut.

The interface is CANBUS compatible and provides reverse trigger, park brake, speed pulse and illumination outputs. For a simpler install, pair it with the optional Aerpro APP8 head unit secondary ISO harness (sold separately), which connects between the new head unit and the interface.

• Steering wheel control interfaces differ between vehicle models. Please confirm this interface matches your exact vehicle before ordering.
• Suits vehicles with an RNS510, RNS315 or RCD510 factory head unit and quadlock connector.
• The aftermarket head unit must be steering wheel control compatible. Steering wheel control functions may differ from the factory functions.
• The aftermarket head unit must have an RCA reverse camera input to retain the factory reverse camera.
• The factory reverse camera, motorised badge camera and active guidelines are only retained where factory fitted. This interface does not add these features to vehicles that did not have them.
• Not compatible with factory OEM amplified systems.
• In some vehicles, the factory Bluetooth module may need to be disconnected for the steering wheel phone buttons to work.
• For voice assistant control, the aftermarket head unit and phone must also support voice assistant.
• Custom button remapping needs a USB-C cable (sold separately).
